Academic Writing Online has hobbled off to a start. After a few weeks of delays and the recruitment of a few more students; and a couple of minor technical issues, we're almost ready to get into the main objective of the class. Preparing you for your post-high school life.
Most students have explored Blackboard(c) a little bit and are ready to move forward. While familiarizing yourself with the site is not a major objective, it is one of the objectives. Many of the classes people take in public school and at universities now use Blackboard for various functions. Some instructors use it solely as a tool for communication; some use it to post lecture notes; some use it to do group work via the chat function; and some, as we will in this course use it as a forum for the entire class.
